I have just returned from my first ever cruise holiday and I can truthfully say that I have had the time of my life. I chose a Western Caribbean cruise deal based on the reviews I had read on a cruise deals review site. To say it was value for money is an understatement. Food, entertainment and drinks were of the highest quality and if you associate cabaret with a weekend in Butlins you are in for a big surprise. The onboard shops were also surprisingly good value with cosmetic and perfumes significantly cheaper than the same products at airports. The ports of call were also amazing and although Grand Cayman was my favourite, Nassau in the Bahamas really does take some beating. Entertainment for children was good but I think more designed for a younger age group, families with older children might be better off with Royal Caribbean whose liners include a full size basketball court, mini golf and even ice skating! I have already booked my next Caribbean cruise, this time around the Eastern Caribbean!!! Roll on next Christmas.
